Into the Woods at The Center for Performing Arts

Carmel Play - Chris McGrath, Attorney At Law - McGrath, LLCThe Center for Performing Arts has no shortage of impressive, captivating performances. Since its opening just a few years ago, the Center has offered a variety of performances, including plays, concerts, operas, singers, and more, to suit any number of tastes.

This May, the best theatre in the area will show Into the Woods. The Center for Performing Arts calls it a “fractured fairy tale,” which is enough to pique anyone’s interests. This show, which weaves elements from classic fairy tales like Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack and the Beanstalk, promises to delight and amuse audiences.

The plot of the play revolves around a baker and his wife, who embark on a journey to reverse a witch’s spell cursing them with childlessness—lying, stealing, and cheating along the way. (Though the play centers on fairy tales, it isn’t one for kids.)

The next performance of Into the Woods is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 10 at 7 p.m. To learn other show times and buy tickets, visit The Center for Performing Arts website.
